INFANT MASSAGE TRAINING

Infant Massage Training

Infant Massage Training

Infant massage also known as Baby massage, helps to relax, comfort and nurture your baby, developing the bond that exists between parent and child.

Baby massage ideally is done in a group over 5 sessions.

The reason it is done over 5 sessions and not crammed into one, is so that you get a chance to learn the routine. Whilst you think you may be able to do it in one, there is a little bit of theory that goes with it which relates to the massage itself, and you will find that you are far more likely to remember it if the techniques are learnt gradually.

If you only had one session and you felt your baby did not like the massage, you are less likely to try again. I teach you the ideal times to massage, and what suits one will not suit another. The next session we see how the rest of the group got on. We then learn more moves and how they relate to the growth and development of your baby. Did you know that when your baby is born, it does not know that their arms and hands exist? Have you seen a baby try and roll over and get their arms caught beneath themselves? Massage helps them become aware of their limbs quicker. It helps with mental and physical development.

We also cover how massage helps with childhood issues, such as teething, colic and growing pain. But this course is also for Mums, Dads or primary carers. It gives you a chance to talk about issues you face, and realise you are not alone with them.
